races.  Running in both the Masters Mile and then later the “Under 6:30” heat, I managed a pedestrian 6:09 and 6:18 mile times.  However, I got a shot of andrenalin watching runners like Dixon Hemphill, Alissa Harvey and Peter Blank contesting on the Washington & Lee High School track in Arlington, Virginia. For runners interested in mid-week races, the DCRRC Calendar has good competition throughout Northern Virginia, Washington, DC and Maryland.
