Invited by a Jackson Physical Therapy Clinic to be a member of their running team at the Rogue Run, Herndon lawyer Doug Landau agreed, in part because all of the care the Jackson Clinics have given his clients. There are a number of cases where Landau’s clients have spent more time with their physical therapists and occupational therapists than their doctors or surgeons. Returning an injured athlete or disabled worker to functionality after a crash is rewarding for these dedicated professionals.

Landau, of the Herndon law firm ABRAMS LANDAU, Ltd., was happy to lend a hand (or his feet) to this worthy team effort. While the team finished in third place overall, lawyer Landau finished 5th overall, 3rd male and won his age group.  However, he was surprised to be presented with a $100 check and a pair of Brooks running shoes for being the overall Masters champion, as he barely broke 21 minutes, averaging 6:45/mile on a cold and windy day.

The Run Rogue 5k is a fun, family-oriented event where participants can walk or run a fun USATF certified 5k course or participate in the 1k fun run before the main event. The “rolling” Fairfax Corner Shopping Center course brought out some very fast runners. 100% of race proceeds are split evenly and donated to Life with Cancer and Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure.
