Boxers & Briefs; but not Legal Briefs!

While Doug Landau will file the occasional legal brief, last weekend’s “Boxers & Briefs” event was a charity fundraiser for LELA Foundation (Latina Endometriosis League of America). Run Loco Races’ Charity Partner was LELA, and they were collecting donations of  boxers and briefs for those within our community in need. Despite the rain and cold, there was a good turnout for this professionally timed and well run 5km road race. Lawyer Landau recognized experienced road race management team member Tom Cook, Racine Multisport timing equipment, as well as Race Director Leslie Green, during his warm up jog, and he knew that the race would come off seamlessly. Run Loco Races will be putting on a number of road races and triathlons in Loudoun County in 2024, including some of the former Brian Crow events that so many multisport athletes enjoyed over the years. Run Loco Races will be putting on fun running events and triathlons in Loudoun County. With sophisticated chip timing, you can miss the official start and still have a good time & cop a prize!

Despite missing the gun start for the Boxers & Briefs 5km, and spotting the field an almost 2 minute head start, Landau was able to catch most of the field & finish 8th overall, good enough to win his age group. Since his bout with COVID in late December, Doug Landau has been trying to “race his way back into shape.” His winter 2024 races and results are as follows:

Landau intends to keep racing on the roads until the Kinetic Multisports Series events begin the end of April. Likely he will line up in Spotsylvania at the “Rumpus in Bumpass” at Pleasants Landing on Lake Anna to see if he’s regained his Triathlon fitness. Then Doug will focus on Triathlons through October. If you would like to see Doug Landau “in action” in Court, at the races or teaching, please e-mail us at FrontDesk@LandauLawShop.com or call (703-796-9555). Our “open book” policy remains in effect now that the COVID Pandemic is behind us.

Landau is hoping to be in top shape for the USAT Triathlon Multisport Festival Championship Races in Omaha, Nebraska in June and the Sprint Triathlon National Championships in Atlantic City, New Jersey in September, with several races in upstate New York and Connecticut during the summer. If he plays his cards right, the traveling Virginia trial lawyer may even get to race internationally in 2024. There will be stories, and some of them will even be true! Stay tuned.
