Rock Creek Park Trail Needs Repaving – Safety for DC Cyclists, Commuters, Strollers

Washington Area Bicyclist Association (WABA) has put out a call to action for the community to push for the repaving, rehabilitating, and upgrading of the trail in Rock Creek Park.  The trail is crumbling, in terrible condition, and too narrow in some areas.  WABA has started a petition asking the National Park Service (NPS) and the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) to fix the trail — NOW!  With spring arriving soon, these safety improvements are sorely needed.

Herndon athletes lawyer Doug Landau encourages people to sign the petition.  “We don’t want some mother with a baby stroller, jogger, walker, biker or other path user to go off the edge and get injured.  Rock Creek is used and it needs maintenance.  It’s the right thing to do,” says Doug.
