AP, the Plaintiff/mother was driving to a car dealership with her husband and their three young children in August 2006 when another car crossed over the center line on Route 9 in Tuckerton and struck them head on.

The defendant was not criminally charged. Here is a case where the lawyer is going to get a pretty hefty award as well. We need more no-fault insurance and fewer lawyers who are greedy. Come to think about it, is there a lawyer who is not greedy? There needs to be limits on compensation paid to lawyers, but they pay politicians a lot of money at election time to keep their own pockets full of cash.
My heart does go out to the family of the children. My son was in an accident where he was a passenger, and was critically injured. He was not expected to live, but did. Unfortunately, he passed at age 38 two years ago yesterday from a blood clot, twenty years after his car accident.
