Practice Areas – Injury from Faulty Sports Equipment

I think the sports equipment I used was faulty. What do I do?

Sports injury prevention is the responsibility of those who manufacture sports equipment, manage facilities and sponsor events, from fitness centers to public parks to the swimming pool at the apartment complex.

Here are just a few of the most common types of sports injury:

  • Head trauma, sometimes resulting in traumatic brain injury
  • Low back strain
  • Shoulder pain
  • Ankle pain
  • Knee pain
  • Hip pain
  • Foot pain
  • Heel pain
  • Hernia
  • Depression

If the injury is the result of someone else’s negligence, appropriate compensation should follow. Your injuries may require specific medical treatment such as a diagnosis from a sports medicine specialist or sports medicine doctor. Physical therapy and other sports rehabilitation likely will be required, too.
