Proceeds from the race this year are for ASK an association for Assistance, Support and Kindness to families of young cancer patients. ASK has been a support to several of the race planners’ friends during their cancer treatments and during their recovery. As all the young race directors are good students as well as philanthropists they were excited about helping to fund the ASK tutoring program that brings educational instruction to the hospital and homes of the patients. ASK is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to making life better for children with cancer and their families. Since 1975, ASK has been providing social, emotional and financial support.
