Good Deeds Day for Lawyer Landau

As a volunteer for Congregation Beth Emeth’s (CBE) “Good Deeds Day” on April 22, lawyer Doug Landau went to the adult group home in Reston, Virginia in order to help put together their garden, clean the premises, and fix water lines. Landau and the other volunteers planted aromatic herbs, cucumbers, tomato plants, and got the home ready for spring. In addition, Landau was on “trash detail,” and was able to repair hose lines so that the plants could be watered easily.

“A successful garden requires patience, planning, and plenty of water,” notes the Herndon lawyer. “My mother, father-in-law and I derived a lot of pleasure out of the little vegetable gardens we have had in the backyard over the last several decades. I hope the Reston adult group home has a successful harvest this fall, and enjoys the blossoms and growth that our efforts have started.” Lawyer Landau added, “My own garden is a few weeks off, despite the spate of warm weather we have been enjoying here in the Commonwealth.”
