Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission Closures

Update 5/1/2020:
From the VWC:
“Per the Commission’s April 6, 2020 Order, all evidentiary hearings will be conducted by video until such time as in-person hearings can resume.  On April 21st, the Commission began converting all hearings that were scheduled to be held from May 1 through June 10 to video hearings. New hearing notices have been issued in all of those cases.”

All Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission (VWC) offices will be closed until further notice, including the Commission’s headquarters in Richmond, Virginia.

Electronic filing is highly recommended during this time. The VWC website and WebFile remains operational. Their Customer Contact Center is still available for calls at 1-877-664-2566 or you can email them at questions@workcomp.virginia.gov

 

Social Security Offices Closures

All local Social Security offices will be closed to the public for in-person service until further notice, but many services are available online.

If you had a scheduled appointment, call 1-800-772-1213 for assistance. You will continue to receive any Social Security benefits and Supplemental Security Income you’ve already been receiving. Click here for more answers and info on their official website.
