He’s Back! Lawyer Landau Helps Students Prepare for We the People
Lawyer Doug Landau is already in his fourth year of volunteering at Rachel Carson Middle School (RCMS). Around twice a week, Landau will visit the school—which is just up the street from the Landau Law Shop in

Herndon, Virginia—to help students prepare to compete in the We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution Program. The program teaches middle school students about the U.S. Constitution and promotes civic competence and responsibility.
Landau covers a variety of topics as he prepares his students for upcoming competitions. For example, the duties of U.S. citizens, taxation without representation, the electoral college and the Constitution.
They are asked to contemplate on and answer hard questions in difficult times. The relevancy and significance of this program in light of current events and constitutional questions has only increased for this diverse group of students in Northern Virginia.
Although the majority of the students are only 13 years old, their maturity and knowledge continues to astound Lawyer Landau. They are two-time National Champions and are headed for this year’s National competition on April 29-May 1 at the National Conference Center in Leesburg, VA. Stay tuned!
