West Marine Folding Bike Recall

Approximately 4,600 folding bikes sold at West Marine stores, online, and in the West Marine catalog between March 2010 and July 2013 have been recalled.  The frame can break, causing injury to the rider.

The recall involves two models designed for use in and around docks and marinas:

  • Jetty Express 2 – has a blue and white frame with Jetty Express 2 printed on the bike’s frame
  • Port Runner 2 – has a red frame with Port Runner 2 printed on the bike’s frame.

Both models fold at a hinge in the middle.

If you have one of these bikes, stop using it immediately and return it to West Marine for a free replacement folding bicycle.
