Doug Landau visits headquarters of MaccabiUSA Sports for Israel.
I am just plain curious sometimes. I had competed in Israel, raised money for less fortunate athletes from all over the world and corresponded and spoke to the people at the Headquarters of MaccabiUSA Sports for Israel, but as is the case when I visit Courts, carriers and clients, I like to “see things for myself.”
So, I went to visit the HQ Maccabi USA/Sports for Israel office. Here we are, Ami Monson, Program Director, Jed Margolis executive director, and Herndon Reston area injury lawyer Doug Landau, 17th Maccabiah Triathlon Age Group Gold Medalist Gold Medalist and Half Marathoner. Margolis and Monson have worked diligently to facilitate using sports as a vehicle to strengthen Jewish identity and Jewish pride as well as love for the State of Israel. Since Margolis’ tenure began at Maccabi USA in 2002, they have taken record numbers of Americans to Australia, Chile, Rome, Argentina and Israel for Maccabi competitions. Jed was a participant is the 1973 Maccabiah Games on the USA basketball team in 1991 earning a gold medal. He has also earned the JCC Association of North America, Arthur Brodkin Award among his accomplishments. Landau saw for himself the wonderful staff and offices and looks forward to another “mini-reunion” with his team mates in September. The TriathlonTrialLawyer will once again be taking part in the Washington, D.C. “Nations Triathlon,” along with several team members, supporting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
