Workers Comp client wins Social Security Disability case; worked 5 years after on-the-job injury
Landau’s client’s disabling conditions included: Injuries to her left wrist, arm, back, head, hip, right hand, right shoulder, right leg, and feet (tingling) due to a fall at work while pushing a heavy cart in 2005. She kept trying to work, but was unable to continue after April, 2009. Since then, she became significantly deconditioned as the result of multiple impairments. Her workers comp injuries included sacrococcygeal fracture causing tenderness and back pain above the buttocks. Her pain has been described as sharp, throbbing and burning. The medications she takes are Cymbalta, Lidoderm patch, Vistaril, and Wellbutrin, all of which produce side effects of dizziness and drowsiness. Her treating physicians gave evidence as to her restrictions, which included: Bending, Lifting, Sitting, Standing, Walking, Stretching & repetitive use of the upper extremities.
Her attending physician found evidence of: bulging discs, facet arthropathy, and thorocolumbar scoliosis, findings of which are identified on MRI and x-ray. With objective medical evidence and lay witness testimony, Disability Lawyer Landau was able to present a compelling case for SSDI.
