ABRAMS LANDAU wins Compensation for head, neck, cervical spine and “mild brain injury” as a result of a one car crash

While driving a Cox Communications truck in Northern Virginia, brain injury lawyer Doug Landau’s client passed out and smashed into the side of the road. The injured driver was slumped over and incoherent when the ambulance arrived. The claimant was a known diabetic and his loss of consciousness was a cause of the crash that totaled his pick up truck. “The medical record reflects the trauma to the head was severe. X-ray studies showed hemorrhaging in the right cerebral hemisphere as a result of striking the windshield with his head. Moreover, [the treating doctor] causally relates the brain injury to the accident.”

The judge awarded the injured driver payments for various periods of disability from work as well as his medical expenses related to his head trauma, cervical spine (neck) injury and mild brain injury.
