\"photoHerndon bike injury advocate Doug Landau was honored to attend an “invitation only” celebration of the passage of the Fairfax County Bicycle Master Plan.\u00a0 The event’s venue — the Wiehle-Reston East Metro Community Room at the Reston Metro Plaza, in Reston, Virginia — was perfect for this cycling celebration.<\/p>\n

The reception was planned to thank those who assisted in the passage of the county’s Bicycle Master Plan.<\/p>\n

Fairfax Advocates for Better Bicycling (FABB)<\/a> was instrumental in garnering support.\u00a0The Fairfax County Bicycle Master Plan was adopted by unanimous vote of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors last October.\u00a0 It is the first-ever comprehensive master bike plan for the largest county in the Commonwealth of Virginia.<\/p>\n
