The 5th annual Rockstar 5K and 1K Fun Run<\/strong> will be held this year at Fairfax Corner in Fairfax, Virginia.\u00a0 This is a new venue and a new distance for this race honoring the life of Cherie Yadao, a physical therapist and manager for Commonwealth Orthopaedics who lost her battle with a rare cancer at the age of 35.<\/p>\n

Race organizers want the community to live and breathe Cherie’s favorite saying — “Party Like a Rockstar” — during this fun morning.\u00a0 Runners are promised very cool swag, including a t-shirt and collectible pin, plus awards for top three performers overall and in nearly every age group!<\/p>\n

Rockstar Run 2014 Details<\/h3>\n

Date: Sunday April 27, 2014<\/p>\n

Time:\u00a0 5K starts at 8:00am; 1K Fun Run at 8:05 am<\/p>\n

Location:\u00a0 Fairfax Corner —\u00a0 11895 Grand Commons Avenue, Fairfax VA 22030<\/p>\n

Online registration is open through 8:00 pm on April 25, 2014.\u00a0 Register before April 1 for a reduced fee.\u00a0 You can also register at packet pickup on April 26, or on race day itself.<\/p>\n
