Scuba divers count on having well-functioning equipment.\u00a0 With a sport like diving, faulty gear can be a matter of life and death — literally.<\/p>\n

Suunto has recalled its high-pressure air hoses because they may have a leak or rupture, which can lead to lack of air and drowning.<\/p>\n

The hoses were sold between November 2012 and July 2013.\u00a0 Here is the description from the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website:<\/p>\n

The recalled black rubber high pressure air hose is used with submersible pressure gauges and dive computers. The hose has silver fittings on both ends and “5000 PSIG PRESSURE TESTED \u2013 MADE IN THE U.S.A,” the batch code “1812” and the product code are printed on it. The hoses were sold separately and as a component of the Cobra, Cobra 3, SM-36 model pressure gauge and gauge combos, and with the Vyper and Zoop model dive computers or analog pressure gauge.<\/em><\/p>\n

If you have one of these hoses, you should stop using it immediately and contact Suunto Support toll-free at (855) 258-0900 anytime, or email at support@suunto.com<\/a>, or online at www.suunto.com<\/a> and click on Recall at the bottom of the page for more information.<\/p>\n
