{"id":4233,"date":"2013-09-04T17:57:21","date_gmt":"2013-09-04T17:57:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/landauinjurylaw.com\/theathleteslawyer\/?p=4233"},"modified":"2013-09-04T17:57:21","modified_gmt":"2013-09-04T17:57:21","slug":"free-trail-ridewalkrun-and-after-party-in-herndon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/landauinjurylaw.com\/theathleteslawyer\/2013\/09\/04\/free-trail-ridewalkrun-and-after-party-in-herndon\/","title":{"rendered":"Free Trail Ride\/Walk\/Run and After Party in Herndon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Athletes and fans have a lot to look forward to this upcoming weekend in the local Maryland\/Washington\/Virginia area.\u00a0 Both the Reston and Nation&#8217;s Triathlons are taking place on Sunday, September 8, 2013.<\/p>\n<p>For those not taking part in either of these, there is a fun, charitable event happening locally in Herndon the day before, on Saturday, September 7.<\/p>\n<p>Our friends and neighbors at <a title=\"Green Lizard Cycling\" href=\"https:\/\/www.greenlizardcycling.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Green Lizard Cycling<\/a> and <a title=\"Jimmy's Old Town Tavern\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmystavern.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Jimmy&#8217;s Old Town Tavern<\/a> are holding a Free Trail Ride, Run or Walk and after party.<\/p>\n<p>The event will be hosted by &#8220;Best Buddies&#8221; ambassador Eric Latcheran.\u00a0 Join Eric for fun and exercise!\u00a0 You can support the Best Buddies team by donation &#8212; either at the event via donation jars and raffles or online at<a href=\"https:\/\/mydc.bestbuddieschallenge.org\/ginalatcheran\" target=\"_blank\"> https:\/\/mydc.bestbuddieschallenge.org\/ginalatcheran<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the details for Saturday&#8217;s event:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ride, hosted by Green Lizard, starts at 8:00 am.\u00a0 To join the walk or run crowd, e-mail <a href=\"mailto:zydecolady1@gmail.cmo\" target=\"_blank\">zydecolady1@gmail.com.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Afterwards, everyone is invited to party 12:00pm &#8211; 4:00pm at Jimmy&#8217;s Old Town Tavern on Elden Street.\u00a0 There will be music &#8211;\u00a0 hand picked by Brian of Jimmy&#8217;s Jam.\u00a0 Local talent has been auditioning, so it&#8217;s sure to be a fun afternoon!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Doug and Melissa Landau will be spending their Saturday afternoon volunteering at South Lakes High School in Reston for race packet pick-up and <a title=\"Checking Bikers\u2019 Drivers Licenses, Passports &amp; USAT cards \u2013 Reston Volunteer Doug Landau\" href=\"https:\/\/landauinjurylaw.com\/theathleteslawyer\/2010\/09\/11\/checking-bikers-drivers-licenses-passports-and-usat-cards-reston-volunteer-doug-landau\/\" target=\"_blank\">bike helmet safety checks <\/a>for the Reston Triathlon.\u00a0 On Sunday, they will both compete in the Reston Triathlon at Lake Audubon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Athletes and fans have a lot to look forward to this upcoming weekend in the local Maryland\/Washington\/Virginia area.\u00a0 Both the Reston and Nation&#8217;s Triathlons are taking place on Sunday, September 8, 2013.
