In order to be prepared for the US Masters National Indoor Track & Field Championships the end of March, Herndon injury lawyer Doug Landau tested his fitness at the Prince George’s Sportsplex Masters Championships next to FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

“When the the US National Championships are in your backyard, you’ve got to give it a try,” says Triathlon Trial Lawyer Doug Landau.\u00a0 Even though he ended his run training in September after the Reston Triathlon (and a flare up of plantar fascitis), and stopped running altogether after finishing as runner-up in the Virginia Triathlon Series in October, Landau has resumed running this month in an effort to be competitive at the US National Masters Track Championships in Landover, Maryland<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Landau has a history of competing in National Championship races when they are on the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.\u00a0 In the past, the Herndon Virginia injury lawyer has participated in the National: Cross Country championships in Maryland, Duathlon (running & biking) championships in Richmond, and Indoor Track in Maryland. Just as he publishes his case, teaching and work travel\u00a0 schedule, lawyer Landau also put his sports competition agenda online and in the ABRAMS LANDAU newsletter.<\/a><\/p>\n

In order to prepare for this indoor track meet Landau purchased track spikes (!) and ran in the mile at the Prince George’s Sportsplex Masters Championships. Not able to wait for the 800 meter race (about a half mile), the Herndon disability lawyer did the first 4 laps in an effort to break 3 minutes.\u00a0 Finishing the half in 3:57, Landau hopes to get close to his “seed” time of 2:41 at the National Championships. Nationals are being held March 22-24, 2013 at the Wayne K. Curry Prince George’s Sports and Learning Complex, 8001 Sheriff Road, Landover, Maryland 20785.\u00a0<\/em> <\/span>Admission is free<\/strong> and the meet will feature athletes from all over the United States, ranging in age from 30-96 in a display of speed, strength, and endurance. Track events will range from 60 meters to 3,000 meters, while field events will include the full range of indoor jumps and throws.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
