{"id":3770,"date":"2013-03-20T06:03:09","date_gmt":"2013-03-20T06:03:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/landauinjurylaw.com\/theathleteslawyer\/?p=3770"},"modified":"2013-03-20T06:03:09","modified_gmt":"2013-03-20T06:03:09","slug":"lance-armstrong-in-more-legal-trouble","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/landauinjurylaw.com\/theathleteslawyer\/2013\/03\/20\/lance-armstrong-in-more-legal-trouble\/","title":{"rendered":"Lance Armstrong in more Legal Trouble"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lance Armstrong is really taking heat for &#8220;doping&#8221;, a fact he admitted in a January interview with Oprah.\u00a0 Soon after that interview, we posted <a title=\"Suit Filed Over Lance Armstrong Books\" href=\"https:\/\/landauinjurylaw.com\/theathleteslawyer\/2013\/01\/25\/suit-filed-over-lance-armstrong-books\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a> about how readers of his book are asking for their money back in a class action suit filed against Armstrong and his publisher.<\/p>\n<p>Well, Armstrong&#8217;s <a title=\"Armstrong article\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/sports\/i-team\/disgraced-lance-faces-lawsuit-fraud-article-1.1277096\" target=\"_blank\">list of legal battles<\/a> has grown to be quite impressive and quite extensive:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Armstrong is the subject of another class action suit which claims that he and FRS &#8212; a maker of nutritional supplements &#8212; are guilty of false advertising via\u00a0 Armstrong&#8217;s claims that FRS was his &#8220;secret weapon&#8221;;<\/li>\n<li>The United States Justice Department is joining the whistle blower suit filed by Armstrong&#8217;s former teammate, Floyd Landis;<\/li>\n<li>The Times of London has filed a $1.5 million lawsuit against the cyclist to recover settlement of a libel action Armstrong had filed against the newspaper;<\/li>\n<li>Armstrong is being investigated for obstruction, witness tampering and intimidation by a federal agency;<\/li>\n<li>Acceptance Insurance of Omaha has filed a $3 million lawsuit to recoup bonuses it covered for Armstrong&#8217;s wins in the 1999 &#8211; 2001 Tour de France.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Lance Armstrong has disappointed all of his fans.
