It has articles about breakthroughs in childhood cancer treatment and research.  The CBTF publication also has actual case studies and success stories.  Grants funded by the CBTF and Conference Sponsorships as well as fund raising events are also highlighted.  One of the fundraising events that Triathlon Trial Lawyer Doug Landau has participated in for the last 10 years is the CBTF AnnualDan Fiduccia Spring Biathlon, which is presented to create awareness during &#8220;Brain Tumor Action Week.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/theathleteslawyer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/CBTF_Awards.jpeg\" border=\"0\" height=\"394\" width=\"300\" align=\"right\" alt=\"CBTF_Awards.jpeg\" \/>[CAPTION: Doug Landau shown giving a hug to Coach Montrie of the Madeira and Sea Devils Teams, who, along with Triathlete Gib Smith (in the red shirt), are the Race Directors of the CBTF Spring Biathlon at the picturesque Madeira School in McLean, VA]<\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 16px\/normal Georgia;margin: 0px\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"line-height: 20px\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"line-height: normal\">With his work experience a Columbia Presbyterian Neurological Institute and exposure to pediatric neurosurgery, the CBTF event is a particular favorite of Doug Landau and his family. In 2007, he once again participated in the individual category (winning the 40-49 age group, and finishing in the top 10 overall).  The Fall 2007 Neurotransmitter pointed out that the race course has its own &#8220;heartbreak hill&#8221; with members of the Capitol Seadevils Swim Team posted so that no competitors get lost in the woods ! (at pp.1,6)<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 16px\/normal Georgia;margin: 0px\">\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 16px\/normal Georgia;margin: 0px\"><strong><em>Doug Landau has previously competed as a &#8220;solo&#8221; and then as a team with his eldest daughter !<\/em><\/strong>  He accomplished this crazy feat by<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 16pt;line-height: 20pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia\"><!--more--><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 16px\/normal Georgia;margin: 0px\">crossing the finishline after his 525 yard swim and 3.1 mile cross country run efforts just in time to jump in the pool and swim the opening leg and then jog alongside his daughter ! The race takes place on the beautiful campus of the Madeira School in McLean. He usually &#8220;spots&#8221; the fast high school swimmers several minutes by getting lapped in the pool. But once on dry land, the fleet-footed &#8220;Trial Lawyer Triathlete&#8221; uses his experience and strength to &#8220;reel in&#8221; all the fish that thought they had &#8220;gotten away !&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 16px\/normal Georgia;margin: 0px\">While the &#8220;Triathlon Trial Lawyer&#8221; is often in the hunt for the top overall prize, two years ago he competed in, and WON the Sport &amp; HealthClubs annual &#8220;Super Sprint Triathlon&#8221; at 7 AM and then, after collecting hisawards, began the Madeira Biathlon at 10 AM, winning his age group and finishing 4<span style=\"font: normal normal normal 13px\/normal Georgia\"><sup>th<\/sup><\/span> overall ! He then went to a well-deserved lunch with faculty members with whom he has worked as a Science Fair Judge.  We know of no other athlete who competed in TWO multisport races in different cities on the same day.
