Golfers shout “fore” when someone is in sight, in order to give warning that they are about to tee off. The Consumer Product Safety Commission<\/a> (“CPSC”) and Club Car, LLC of Augusta, Georgia have called “Fore” to consumers and agreed to a safety recall of potentially dangerous carts. The product safety recall of about 5,000 golf carts and hospitality, utility and transport vehicles was voluntarily conducted by the firm in cooperation with the CPSC. Consumers should stop using the products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.<\/p>\n

The Club Car recall of its Golf Cars and Hospitality, Utility and Transport Vehicles follows reports of brake pedals breaking. The brake pedal can crack and separate, resulting in a loss of braking ability. No injuries have been reported. The golf carts and other unsafe vehicles were sold at authorized Club Car dealers nationwide from April 2010 through July 2010 for between $6,000 and $17,000. Club Car is providing a free inspection and replacement of the brake pedal. The company is contacting its customers directly.
