Every time work injury lawyer Doug Landau would drive down to the state capitol to appear before the VWCC (“Virginia Workers Compensation Commission”), he would pass “The Diamond,” the former home of the Richmond Braves minor league baseball team. Landau has represented those injured by dangerous animal attacks and victims of dog attacks, but when heard about “Squirrels with Bats” he became concerned for the safety of his friends and family in the state capitol. It seems the Richmond baseball team is now known as the Richmond “Flying Squirrels.” Trial Lawyers from Richmond told the Herndon Reston trial lawyer triathlete at this weekend’s Workers Compensation Law Retreat that the name was the winner in a vote ! Of course, having named and coached a team called “The Jumping Green Grasshoppers,” and singing a cheer that used the tune from the “Ghostbusters” movie, he was in no position to make fun.
