Recently, Coach Kevin Anderson of South Lakes High School\u2019s golf team in Reston heard about Lawyer Landau\u2019s donations. After reaching out, the team was thrilled to receive 500 golf balls for their athletes. Collected over years of training runs and long bike rides through Fairfax and Loudoun County, and even during his more long-distance travels, Landau has accumulated a large stockpile of golf balls, none of which go to waste.<\/p>\n

Doug Landau has found thousands of golf balls while training for triathlon competitions. He finds them running on. the trails, near golf courses & even while biking! He has donated balls to the Golf Teams at Reston’s South Lakes High School, Fairfax County’s Oakton High School, as well as the Washington D.C. chapter of “First Tee,” which teaches inner city youth to play golf<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Though Landau himself doesn\u2019t play golf, his support for local teams, charities, and programs is well known. In addition to the South Lakes high school golf team, he has donated thousands of balls to The First Tee program in Washington, D.C., as well as golf and lacrosse balls to Oakton High School and other youth sports leagues across Northern Virginia. His goal is to support programs that keep kids active, engaged, and learning discipline and teamwork through sports.<\/p>\n

But Landau\u2019s connection to golf and sports runs deeper than donations.
