If you are eligible to do so and have not yet, you can register <a href=\"https:\/\/vote.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>With the unexpected global pandemic this year and confusion over voting early or absentee and the state of the United States Postal Service, the team at Abrams Landau law want to help bring some clarity and direction during these uncertain times. Knowledge on how to safely vote should be easily accessible.<\/p>\n<p>The Washington Post has a helpful webpage with all the different ways you can vote depending on your state. If you do not reside in Virginia and will like more information on the different ways you can vote for the 2020 presidential election, click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/elections\/2020\/how-to-vote\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In-person absentee early voting in Fairfax County, Virginia will run from September 18-October 31<\/strong>. Currently, only Fairfax County Government Center is open, but <strong>on October 14, all 14 satellite locations will be open for in-person absentee voting.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>For in-person absentee voting at Fairfax County Government Center:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Fairfax County Government Center<br \/>\n12000 Government Center Parkway<br \/>\nFairfax, VA 22035<br \/>\nSuite 323<\/p>\n<p>September 18-October 13: Open Monday-Friday 8:00 am &#8211; 4:30 pm (Closed Monday, October 12 for Columbus Day)<br \/>\nOctober 14-October 31: Open Monday-Friday 8:00 am &#8211; 7:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am &#8211; 5:00 pm<\/p>\n<p>Click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xXmALCA8sxg&amp;feature=youtu.be\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a> to watch a helpful video on in-person absentee voting and what precautions Fairfax County is taking with COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>As of now, these locations are proposed to be open weekdays from 1-7 pm and Saturdays from 9am-5pm. You can return absentee ballots during the dates and times that the satellite locations are open for absentee in person early voting. Request and return ballots as soon as possible to ensure it is delivered on time. Click <a href=\"https:\/\/vote.elections.virginia.gov\/VoterInformation\/Lookup\/absentee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a> to apply to vote absentee by mail.<\/p>\n<p>If you plan to vote absentee in-person\/early voting, you do not need to submit an application or call ahead. However, you must be registered to vote and bring the current voter ID requirements. Click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elections.virginia.gov\/registration\/photo-ids-required-to-vote\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a> to see the latest list of acceptable IDs in Virginia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>October 31 is the last day to hand deliver absentee ballots to one of the satellite locations and November 3 is the deadline to hand deliver absentee ballots to Office of Election by 7:00 pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>November 6 is the deadline for mailed absentee ballots to be received by Office of Elections by 12 pm. Ballots must be postmarked no later than November 3.
