Recently, Herndon Airport Injury Lawyer Doug Landau handled the case of a Virginia-based airline pilot who had slipped and twisted his knee while deplaning at an airport far from home. \u00a0The injury seemed minor, but after several months, the pain had not improved.\u00a0 The pilot ended up needing surgery to repair his knee.<\/p>\n

During the routine surgery, however, the pilot threw a clot and ended up with serious complications, including a lengthy hospital stay and subsequent time off from work to recuperate. The airline’s insurance company denied the claim.\u00a0 The insurer would not pay any of the medical bills for the lengthy hospitalization, lost wages or anti-clotting medications, which the pilot will be on for life.<\/p>\n

With the help of ABRAMS LANDAU, this grateful pilot was awarded full Workers\u2019 Compensation benefits tied to the surgery and recuperation.\u00a0 This case was won, not once, but twice:\u00a0 once at the trial and then again on appeal!<\/p>\n
