Airline flight attendants and pilots with long layovers may turn to \u201cshare\u201d their locations, adventures and thoughts on their favorite forms of Social Media. Like the rest of us, they cannot resist posting the details of a wild vacation on their Facebook page, Twitter, MySpace or Blog. \u00a0They tweet from the airport lounge as they await their next flight, shuttle bus transfer or relax in a hotel away from home. They may blog about a time when they slipped and fell at work, or sustained a sports injury during a weekend touch football game or, injured themselves at home.<\/p>\n

Be careful.\u00a0 Do not think that what you post is private and only available to your friends or followers.<\/p>\n

Doug Landau of the Herndon law firm ABRAMS LANDAU, Ltd.<\/a>, recommends caution when posting online via social media outlets.\u00a0 Reminding us that defense lawyers and adjusters are looking for adverse evidence anywhere they can find it, Landau says, \u201cIf you post it, they will find it.\u00a0 Before you post something, pretend that opposing counsel is looking at your profile and reading everything you post. Now, are you sure you want to write that? \u201d<\/p>\n
