While on the Virginia Tech campus to meet with past and present car crash, pedestrian knock down, workers compensation, premises liability (slip and fall) and injured athlete clients, Herndon/Reston area lawyer Doug Landau came across some very odd looking Police patrol vehicles. The TriathlonTrialLawyer met the Virginia Tech “Tricycle Police.” These stable vehicles enable the TechSecurity force to cover more ground than they could on foot, and have the added advantage of a higher sight line and not having to carry heavy equipment on their belts or backs. Fairfax County personal injury lawyer Doug Landau has successfully represented police officers and fire fighters who have been injured while running on the job. These three wheel vehicles appear to give the officers a “running start” with their law enforcement duties. Unlike 2-wheeled bikes, which can tip, crash and cause head and brain injuries, these vehicles can stop quickly, and still remain upright. The 3-wheeled upright security officer carriers also appear immune from the dangers associated with vicious dog attacks that can take even the ost experienced bike racer or triathlete down in seconds. They also have heavy elctronic equipment for first responders and telecommunications that would be almost impossible tocarry on one’s body without causeing back, spine or orthopedic injury. Who knows, these futuristic looking devices may be headed to a Police or security department near you !
